There are things that have been holding you back from reaching for more. Those things poses as a crutch; you don’t need it, but you also can’t seem to do without it.

The crutches could be a toxic partner that you won’t let go. You know the relationship isn’t healthy, it deals with your mental health, yet you stay because you feel you don’t deserve better. You have convinced yourself to believe the fact that there is no other person that could treat you better out there. In reality, there is a good person waiting for you.

A terrible past could also be the crutch you don’t need. You hold on tightly to the memories that needs to be left behind. You refuse to be healed from it. You give it room in your head when all you need to do is either process the past, or talk to someone that will help ease those haunted memories. You should also know that you can move forward, and take steps towards there.
Your crutch could also be a bad habit that you’ve held on to for a long time, and you’ve convinced yourself that you can’t let go of the habit. The same way you learnt the habit, you could also learn another good habit that will replace the negative one.

The same way you can’t use a crutch when you can walk perfectly, is the same way you shouldn’t hold on to things that will make your journey in life difficult. You deserve to be a better version of yourself, and you can’t be better if you’re still holding on to certain things that needs to be let go of.

Conquerors, I want you to know that no matter the crutch you’re holding on to, you can let it go, and move freely in the journey of your life.
Make the decision of letting go. The decision is all you need to facilitate the process of you moving on. When the decision is made, it is easier for you to take active steps that will make you be better.

One day, you’ll be strong enough to know that you can walk away from those things that have been holding you back; be it a painful past, habit, toxic relationship or just pain.

You are stronger than you think. You can do without them. You can also be a better version of yourself conquerors.

Will you drop the crutch?
