Love in colour book review

Spread the love

So, when I started the first short story in Love in colour by Bolu Babalola, it was somehow confusing for me, because it was based on myth, and I abandoned the book for two weeks (don’t judge me).

I started reading the book again because of several recommendations from people who had read the book, and I said why not. Halfway through the first short story, and I knew it was a book I will not want to take a break from, till I finish it.

I love love, and reading books that has happy endings no matter how sappy it might seem, is something I love. I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars

Bolu weaved her stories based on love in such a sweet manner, and you can’t just help feeling the emotions of each characters in each short story.

The very concept of loving someone comes with it challenges. Most times, love creeps up on you when you didn’t even want to find love, and the author expressed those themes beautifully. I don’t want to give you any spoilers because I actually want you to read the book.

If you love romance, love, and couples making the decision to choose each other, then you should read Love in Colour. I particularly love how Bolu made me travel to different countries that I have never been too, and she made me feel the love in these different countries.

The book is simply awesome. I can’t wait to read other books from the author.
